Update on WHNA Yard Sale – Saturday, June 3rd.

It’s not too early to start cleaning out your clutter and sign up to participate in the annual WHNA Yard Sale on Saturday, June 3rd from 8-noon.  Rain or shine.

The WHNA will be responsible for all advertising of the event in local media outlets and signage directing shoppers to participating addresses.

As an added convenience to participants this year, Furbish Thrift, the new animal charity thrift store in the Stratford Hills Shopping Center, has volunteered to pick up your leftover goods at the end of the yard sale. Their truck will come through the neighborhood from noon to 2:00 that day. Please stack items as close to the street as possible and put a marker that says “FURBISH THRIFT” visibly with your things. Note, they can’t take exercise equipment, mattresses, stuffed animals, and torn or broken furniture. Upon request, receipts can be provided for your donations.

To participate, you can sign up online or by contacting Louise Freedman at (804) 477-4064 or LFreedman5111@gmail.com.

Spring 2023

About the WHNA

Since 1978, the Westover Hills Neighborhood Association has worked to preserve, protect, and improve the quality of life in Westover Hills, a thriving community established in southwest Richmond in 1924. The Westover Hills Neighborhood Association offers a forum for residents to share new ideas and provides a unified voice for residents when communicating concerns and requests to city officials. Meetings, when they can safely resume, are held the second Tuesday of each month and are open to all neighbors.
