Westover Hills is going Christmas caroling! Join your neighbors on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 as we spread holiday cheer through the streets of our twinkling neighborhood. We are meeting at the corner of Caledonia and Prince Edward at 5:50. Caroling to begin at 6:00. Bring your kids, coats, and of course your fabulous singing voice!
Good Shepherd Episcopal School is having its Annual Tea with Santa on Saturday, December 13, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Parish Hall. All children from Westover Hills, Woodland Heights, Forest Hill, Oxford and surrounding neighborhoods are invited to enjoy cookies, hot chocolate, hot tea, crafts, and pictures with Santa himself! (Each family will receive a 5″x7″ photo.) Tickets are $10 per child at the door and admission is free for adults. To reserve your spot, contact email@example.com. Guests may pay at entry.
The annual Westover Hills Holiday Décor Contest is just around the corner! All homes within the boundaries of Westover Hills are automatically ‘entered’ in the competition and will be reviewed by a panel of volunteer judges through Thursday, December 18 for the following categories:
Day categories: “Best Overall,” “Best Door,” “Best Wreath,” and “Most Creative.”
Night categories: “Best Overall,” “Best Door,” “Best Tree,” and “Most Creative.”
Combined categories: “Most Reflective of Historic Westover Hills,” “Most Festive,” and “Most Inviting to Santa.”
Signs for most categories will be placed in the yards of winning homes, and all winners will be recognized online and in the next issue of the Rag. Wade Thrift is coordinating the judging.
