Don’t forget the WHNA meeting tomorrow (Thursday, November 13) at 7 p.m. at TaZa. Everybody is welcome! (UPDATE: Agenda below.)
Check out the jazzy new logo design for the Westover Hills Neighborhood Association! The new logo brings a fresh, up-to-date, and more colorful “look” for WHNA, while retaining the images we all love of the railroad bridge and the river. Page Hayes of House of Hayes did a great job creating our modern new design.
WHNA will be rolling out the new logo in all its forms over the next few months, and we’d love some feedback from neighbors about how to use the new logo. Maybe some Westover Hills “swag” like t-shirts or coffee mugs? Let’s hear all your ideas.
Here’s a look at the new logo in both color and black & white:
The Westover Hills Elementary School PTA has kicked off its First Annual Holiday Tree & Wreath Sale. Virginia-grown Frasier Firs of all sizes along with two styles of natural wreaths and a lovely natural centerpiece are on sale now! Trees & wreaths can be ordered online at:

100% of proceeds go to the WHES PTA which supports after-school programs, teacher-appreciation, parental-engagement, and so much more! Please join us in supporting our local school!
The inaugural Autumn Auction to benefit Patrick Henry School of Science and Arts will take place on Thursday, November 13, at Sound of Music studio from 6 to 10 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for the school’s Parent Teacher Association.
Every ticket purchased includes free food and beverages provided by event sponsors, live music entertainment, and automatically enters you in a raffle to win the ultimate family portrait valued at $1,000! Master Photographer Anthony Rumley will create a stunning and unique 16×20 gallery wrap and two 5×7 gift sized portraits to decorate your home or office. Choose from either a studio or location custom session. Free clothing consultation is included to discuss all the details of creating the perfect portrait. See samples of Anthony’s work at anthonyrumley.com.
Come to WHNA’s next meeting on Thursday, November 13. We’re meeting at 7 p.m. at TaZa on Forest Hill Avenue. Grab a beverage and foodstuff and meet your neighbors and find out what’s going on in our neighborhood. We hope to see lots of you there! Agenda will be posted before the meeting.
