Get moving and support the Richmond Walk, Roll & Stroll

The Bulifant name is a familiar one to many neighbors. HF Bulifant & Sons has been doing property renovations in our area since 1977. Now it’s hosting Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network’s 2016 B.C.A.N. Richmond Walk, Roll, & Stroll on Saturday, May 7 . Registration will be at 8:30 a.m. and the walk will start around 9 a.m.. It will be a beautiful walk from their office at 2001 Semmes to Patrick Henry School and back, culminating in fun activities for all ages.
Bladder cancer is the fifth most diagnosed cancer, and when Rick Bulifant, president of HF Bulifant & Sons was diagnosed three years ago, he knew very little about it. Now he has the opportunity to raise awareness and educate people about bladder cancer, its symptoms, and treatment.
“May is Bladder Cancer Awareness Month, and I am taking action in my community to represent the 500,000 people living with bladder cancer in the United States. I’m walking for the 75,000 people that will be diagnosed with bladder cancer this year alone. And I’m taking steps to honor the 15,000 who will not survive their bladder cancer journey this year. I’m walking because bladder cancer forever changed my life ,” says Rick.

About the WHNA

Since 1978, the Westover Hills Neighborhood Association has worked to preserve, protect, and improve the quality of life in Westover Hills, a thriving community established in southwest Richmond in 1924. The Westover Hills Neighborhood Association offers a forum for residents to share new ideas and provides a unified voice for residents when communicating concerns and requests to city officials. Meetings, when they can safely resume, are held the second Tuesday of each month and are open to all neighbors.
