The Association needs help filling officer roles. At a minimum, we’d like to have a Secretary and another Leadership Council member for this year. That council role would be shared with Fran Eckenrode and Tom Tichenor, so as to spread out the responsibilities.

As it stands, it is not clear that we can schedule or hold regular neighborhood meetings unless there are additional volunteers willing to pitch in. Our remaining officers cannot plan, run, and take notes for meetings by themselves.

We strongly encourage folks to get involved in some capacity, or if you have served in the past, consider coming out of retirement for 2023. Events and meetings take a lot of volunteer time and effort, and right now a handful of volunteers are shouldering the entire load. If interested email: westoverhillsna@gmail.com.

About the WHNA

Since 1978, the Westover Hills Neighborhood Association has worked to preserve, protect, and improve the quality of life in Westover Hills, a thriving community established in southwest Richmond in 1924. The Westover Hills Neighborhood Association offers a forum for residents to share new ideas and provides a unified voice for residents when communicating concerns and requests to city officials. Meetings, when they can safely resume, are held the second Tuesday of each month and are open to all neighbors.
